Denise Chakoian is a business owner, certified exercise specialist, and cancer survivor based in Providence, Rhode Island. She founded a cycling studio in 2006 that expanded to include pilates and then eventually became the first Rhode Island studio to offer Lagree. In 2018, as her business was growing, Denise was diagnosed with cancer. She received chemotherapy for six months, while continuing to teach cycling classes and expand her studio, and has since been in remission.
Through first-hand experience, Denise has become an expert in boutique studios and cancer exercise training. She offers management and program consulting for other studio owners and specialized training for cancer patients, independent from her work at her studio. She was seeking to establish these services and herself outside of her fitness studio. The goal was to create a visual presence that was unique to Denise and her specialties, while still complimentary to her studio’s existing brand.
